Illusione 86

This is a very small cigar that is geared for a quick smoke, but it should not be discounted in the lexicon of cigars that are available. It is beautifully presented in a short, but stout, vitola that contains a nice dark wrapper that has no flaws and very few veins. The construction appears to be excellent and I can't detect any areas of concern. The pre light aroma has notes of pepper and spice. The pre light draw shows notes of pepper and light tobacco flavors.

The cigar opens with a profile of pepper and light spice. I am shocked by the depth of flavor that this small cigar shows from the opening bell. At the back of the palate there are notes of tobacco that run very deep and add to the overall experience. The draw is exceptional and the burn is straight and nearly perfect.

The entire cigar performs well. There is a straight forward presentation of pepper and light spice throughout. At the back of the palate there are satisfying notes of tobacco and further developments of pepper. The draw and burn perform well throughout.

The finish is smooth and shows notes of pepper, spice and tobacco.

Appearance- 92 a nice looking little smoke
Taste- 90 a nice profile that could have used more complexity
Construction- 95 a nice smoking experience that is nearly flawless
Strength- 91 a nice medium smoke
Overall- 92.25 the best short smoke on the market for me
