Alec Bradley Trilogy Exotic Maduro

This cigar presents with a very dark maduro wrapper that is gleaming with oils. There is some prominent veining, but examination suggests that the cigar is well made. The pre light aroma is of dark fruit and there is a slight barnyard suggestion on the nose. The pre light draw is a bit tight, but hints of tobacco and earth.

The cigar begins with some tobacco and earth notes, but there is a metallic undertone that is slightly distracting. The burn is sharp and the ash is a dirty gray. There is no further development in the first half.

In the second half of the cigar the profile is muddled, but through the nose I detect some coffee character with notes of tobacco and earth. There is still a slightly metallic bite that is souring the profile. The burn has turned lopsided and there is small run in the burn.

The finish is short and hot, with notes of charred wood and paper.

Appearance- 86 veining hurts the score
Taste- 77 metallic notes detract from the profile
Construction- 85 minor issues are present
Strength- 83 a medium smoke that was unremarkable
Overall- 82.75 an average experience at best
